Every Boxing Day since 1945, (other than 2020 due to Covid) Sydney Harbour has hosted the start of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. An arduous journey 628 nautical miles south to Constitution Dock in Hobart. Over 100 yachts, from small vessels to super maxis, make an impressive sight as they leave the harbour.
The program
The Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race will again start in accordance with tradition with the firing of a starting cannon. The start will be at 1.00pm on Boxing Day, 26 December
